i have been collecting the toy story lego for myself and was excited to get this set. it rates high on the cute factor, and also on the details given to the minifigs.
unfortunately, i found once the sheriffs office and the jail were “joined” together, the whole lot was very weak and would not stay completely joined when moving from the work table to a more suitable spot. there seemed to be no way to strengthn the join without adding extra bits. had the sheriffs building not had the “trap door”, it would have been a lot stronger. also, the cave could have been a bit bigger so the crate of dynamite would fit.
still very cute though and would be more suited to an older child who builds for display.
We have all the Toy Story sets, except the ‘giant’ Zurg and Buzz, which we can’t find (except on e Bay at JACKED UP prices!). As of today, Amazon is not carrying them and Toys R Us is sold out. My 7 year old loves these sets. They are great Lego quality. I know some people buy Lego sets to collect, but these are Toys at our house and are played with heavily since Christmas. Lego getting the Toy Story license was a nice idea, good business for Lego, good fun for Toy Story fans. It’s a win win situation! (ha just had to say it)
If you can afford it, buy it!
I have to agree with the other review, as a reminder, if you’re tempted to buy this for a younger child, this probably isn’t suitable for anyone younger than 5-6 at the lowest unless closely working with an adult. Younger children WILL want to play with them, and unless you’re completely sure there is no chance of these pieces being swallowed, I would use age-wise caution when purchasing.
Of course, all good Moms and Dads know this anyway!

My eight year old grandson was so excited when we gave this to him for a Christmas present because he already has so many Lego toys and he didn’t have this one. He has several Lego toys put together and displayed in his bedroom. After a few weeks he will take them apart, put some more together and put them on display, he just keeps rotating them.
This lego set is great. It does not fall apart easily… which we all know some Lego sets fall apart if you sneeze to hard. The blades move as the cutter moves….and it is all built from little lego pieces (even the black “band” around the wheels). My son is 8 and loves it so much… we had to tell my sister to get her son one for his 9th b.day. He loved it also. Top notch Lego set!
my son loves legos! he can spend hours playing with them after he builds whatever the package makes. he was hooked on star wars for a long time and now has started collecting the indiana jones sets. i find them to be very educational since he has to take his time building them so they are put together just right. and i love the fact that he uses his imagination to play with them after. i think kids have lost the use of their imaginations with all these electronic toys that are out there now.

I always loved Lego as a kid & was desperate to get some for my 6 year-old daughter as I think it’s an excellent toy for dexterity and imagination. However, Lego has recently withdrawn its girls lines. So when I saw this & knowimg my daughter loves Spongebob I went for it.
It’s a total winner, we spent about an hour making it – as I was teaching her how to build it herself – and it was great fun for her and bonding for me. She then played with it & wanted to take it apart to rebuild. She now wants more & more Spongebob Lego. I imagine she’ll get that wish
I brought this item for my seven year old girl, and it was a lot of fun putting this toy together, easy directions. My kay had no problems putting together the burger car while I did the krusty krab. Very cute, and it comes with lego money for Mr.krab of course!
If you want this to stay together for good use plastic glue, because it doesn’t take much of a hit for this baBY to come crashing down.

The lego coast guard helicopter is my favorite lego set I own. It has all this cool stuff. There is a self wind string and a hook. You just hold a button and the string and the hook on it winds up. It has four mini figures, one shark and one coast guard boat. And it was much bigger than I thought it would be. It has two seats and one stretcher. Overall it has good money value. The play value is good too.

Great set. Santa found it on sale at for about half this price. The lucky 8 year old boy who received it put it together in a little over two hours by himself on Christmas day. He said the directions were a little confusing and he had to take a few pieces off and relocate them during construction. However he was thrilled with the final result and was happy to see the winch action on the chopper to pull in the guys from the life raft below. This is a great way for kids to learn how objects are assembled and develops great spatial-relationships for kids of all ages. Nice to have a life raft to further the play action/building time. By constructing this toy, he also had more questions about the Coast Guard, which gave us teachable moments when we went to see relatives who live by Lake Erie.

The at-te walker is fun, i got mine from toys r us. On my at-te walker i added commander appo from the 501 legion and i put him it the drivers seat. If your building one i would put superglue so it does not fall apart on you, that is just my opinion. I like to mix up legos sets, for exsample i added commander fox to the republic fighter, some might come with it, i don’t know.

LEGO Architecture Fallingwater 21005 Reviews:

First things first, this isn’t really a “traditional” Lego set: while all the pieces are things you’d recognize from 25 years ago, the set is clearly aimed at a much older audience. The box even states its recommended for 16+. I’m 30, a big fan of architecture and I’ve always enjoyed Legos (but hadn’t bought a set in over a decade), so when I heard this set had been created I leaped at the chance to place it in my new home. I’m not disappointed.
When constructed, the structure isn’t big: the base measures 10″ x 5″ and its 4.5″ high, but its quite complex (more complex than the sets I remember as a kid) and feels substantial when completed. There are well over 800 pieces and approximately 100 pages of instructions. The instruction book also includes a few short essays on Frank Lloyd Wright and Fallingwater. The assembly instructions are well done and putting it together took several hours but no confusion.
You can’t tell by looking at it, but the structure is actually designed to come apart: the house is in several pieces that stack on top of each other and then slide into the base; this ability to do a blow-up diagram lets you examine some of the forms that were used in the structure. Of course, you can’t expect this set to be a very precise reproduction of the actual landmark, but it definitely captures its essence.
The set uses only a handful of colors that seem inspired by the colors Wright would use in some of his sketches –it gives the completed piece a very mature look. Once it was done I placed it on a shelf next to various books on architecture and modern sculptures. This is a very substantial piece when fully constructed, and if it got your attention like it did mine, I think you’ll be satisfied with it.
This LEGO set of the Falling Water home was for my Brother, an Architectural Engineer and long-time FLW fan. He has visited Falling Water on more than one occasion and when I saw the LEGO set I knew he would love it. As things worked out he called 8PM Saturday night and, as he would be travelling over Christmas, we agreed that he should open it immediately. He was thrilled and even though he was going to catch a 5AM flight the next morning he said he wasn’t going to bed until Falling Water was built!
