My 9 year old son has been playing with this everyday for a week. This is a high quality design with snaps instead of wires like when I was a kid. I’m not sure why anyone would rate this type of toy below a five star but there are always those who find something wrong. This teaches kids basic electronics and how to read and follow directions. My son got this for his birthday and loves it. He opened the box and had his first circuit built in a few minutes. It was like eating potato chips, he couldn’t get enough and always wanted to do one more. I would highly recommend it.
I bought this as an educational project. It really is amazing. I always wanted to learn more about electronics, so my son’s interested provided the opportunity. Plenty of experiments (though I have to say a couple I could not figure out from the instructions). Lots of educational value. I think that this set was a nice compromise between the beginning sets and the monster sets. Also, you can add on materials separately later to expand its potential. It is so easy to put together and a lot of fun. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a project that they can come to again and again when there is time set aside to do a few quick and interesting experiments. Overall, great!
