Transforming into 30 different ships, the Matchbox Mega Rig Pirate Ship lets kids sail the high seas for hours of enjoyment. Designed for children ages four and up, the Mega Rig Pirate ship starts as one big pirate ship. Kids can break the ship down into elements that make, or can be mixed and matched to create, an array of different vessels made for racing, going ashore, or battling against one another with friends.
Built for Adventure
With the Mega Rig Pirates Ship, living rooms, backyards, and bathtubs all become places pirate adventures. The different ship components are made from durable plastic, which holds up to playtime on land or water. Built with Styrofoam inside, the base of each ship will float, and with built-in yellow wheels, can also roll along the ground. Smaller pieces, like the treasure chests, have rounded snap bottoms that easily and firmly connect to other building components.
The pirate-ship set also comes with two pirate figures — a captain and a crew member, a harpoon launcher, and a giant purple squid complete with suction tentacles.

My son got this for his 4th birthday. As soon as it was out of the package, he started playing and hasn’t really stopped since. It is great for in the tub and out too. The octopus’s tenticles come off, which is tons of fun for him. His does have some problems getting the pieces snapped back together, but I think with practice it will get easier. Definately recommend this. He also got another Matchbox little pirate set with the shark. I recommend the two together-makes for a lot of imaginative play.
Frustration Free packaging is anything BUT. The toy itself is awesome but the packaging (or should I say lack there of is not right for gift gifting).
