Santa got these for my 14 month old twin daughters, along with the wagon and once they discovered these they did not pay attention to any of their other gifts. We actually had to distract them & then hide these in order for them to get the rest of their gifts.
I don’t know what they find so entertaining about these but since they’ve gotten these they are normally the 1st thing they go for. I’m not sure if they just like taking them out of the wagon or what. They either play with them together or by themselves.
These are great fun for my husband and I to play with as well. We normally compete to see who can build the most creative thing and of course once my daughters see that we have built anything over 5 blocks high, they love to come and smack it down, then crack up about it.
These are safe, I don’t think any of the pieces are small enough for them to choke on but they are always supervised. These are also good for teaching them colors. I have been trying to teach them to stack the blocks but they still havn’t gotten that concept yet.
My mom, an elementary school teacher, brought home a set of these blocks for our daughter to play with at her house. We didn’t guess she would enjoy them as early or as much as she does. She started playing with them at seven months, and truly enjoying them. She even received her own set from grandma for Christmas. She can’t quite put them together yet, to build things, but she loves the shapes and colors. The are so durable and easy to clean. And I love that there’s no structure to them, it really helps develop imagination. Every child should have a set of blocks!
Our 17 month old loves these and I have fun with them, too, when we build things together. The 80 piece set gives you enough to build all kinds of Art Deco skyscrapers, or whatever you can imagine.
