I got this for my daughter when she was about 16-months-old and she quickly figured out how to pound and roll the balls. All of the kids love banging on this toy; however the wood does dent easily w/medium use of the hammer. Other than that this is a great toy for kids!
Our daughter started playing with this around eight months. She figured out how to place the balls in the side slots, since she wasn’t yet strong enough to push or hammer them through the top. She’s now 11 months, and can sometimes push then through the top. But she still loves putting them through the side slots, and trying to work out where they will come out. She plays with this toy daily and really enjoys it.
My son has gotten many hours of fun out of this toy. He started playing with it at 9 months and quickly learned to place the balls in the tower from the side, since he wasnt strong enough to push them through the top.
He still plays with it daily 6 months later.
